It's about 5 months I had been away from Malaysia. Wow, how time flies huh. I think this is the longest time I've been away from Malaysia. To be honest, I miss the hot weather, the food and all my dearest friends and family in Malaysia. As a food lover, the first thing I want to do when I'm back to Malaysia is food hunting :)
What Malaysian food do I miss the most? The list is endless. Here I simply list out top 5 foods that I miss the most.
Ayam Penyet - Ayam Penyet is my priority. I know it's from Jawa, Indonesia but it can be easily found in Malaysia. I don't really like it before and started to like it since two years ago which is I don't know why. It doesn't look fancy but it's still yum tho.
Nasi Ayam / Hainanese Chicken Rice - Ahhh when it comes to Nasi Ayam Hainanese, Nasi Ayam Hainan Chee Meng, Bukit Bintang is the first place that will cross in my mind when thinking about it. Their Nasi Ayam is so good and the price is affordable. Never miss their Nasi Ayam every time I come down to Bukit Bintang.

Sayap Ayam Panggang / Satay - Sayap Ayam and Satay are very famous street foods in Sabah. It's fair enough to say that I grew up eating this. I mean, my grandparents bought this for me twice a week or everytime they went to Pasar Malam.
Bambangan + Ikan Masin + Lada Putih - Bambangan is Sabah's tradition food. It's kind of fruit which I believe is from mango family but more like wild mango. Bambangan usually made into pickle. Well, I don't really know how to describe this because I just learned to eat bambangan last year or 2 years ago. I get sick when I eat that for the first time. And, I only eat bambangan when it cooks with salted fish and lada putih.
Mee Sup Ungau - Ahh, this soup, I only can get this in my hometown. Everyday before going to school or after back from school, I always went there waiting for my bus and my grandpa to pick me up to back home. I called it Mee Sup Ungau because Ungau is the chef's name since that place doesn't have name and her kedai sup is quite famous in my hometown. I remember when I'm back from KL, my grandparents bought it every single day for me hahaha and I never get bored of it.
Other than that, I really miss Cendol / Ice Kacang, Nasi Lemak, Laksa Penang, Teh Tarik, Roti Canai and all the Malaysian food haha. The reason why Nasi Lemak, Laksa, Teh Tarik and Roti Canai not on my top list because I can get it here. My mom can cook it for me and there are several Malaysian Cuisine here though it doesn't taste exactly the same as in Malaysia.
I better stop now before my saliva glands go into overdrive. I just ate dinner yet I'm suddenly hungry again.
