MY BUCKET LIST 2017

I just stumbled upon Erin's latest blog post about the type of posts she always read and found out this one interesting topic that can help me to update my blog. WISHLIST. I love reading everyone else's and would always say things like, "Oh, that's on my bucket list!". I have had a bucket list in my mind, but for one reason my list was never actually written out because my list might be mean nothing to someone else. So this is my first wishlist. Now, without further do, here is my bucket list.

1. Move into an apartment
I've been saving to get my own place for a few months now. I am a long way from my target and am not entirely sure I will ever be able to afford to rent a decent apartment. There's an apartment that I really like which is just a few block from my parent's house but damn why is it so expensive T.T Price range for 2 bedrooms 1 1/2 bathroom is $1,1225 - $1,275 per month. I'm waiting for any top deals like 2 months free or move in specials. While waiting for that, I'm saving my money because for sure I'm going to move out next year (sooner or later) :)

2.Own a Laptop -  MacBook Pro / MacBook Air
I've been eyeing this laptop for a few months now. I spent more than 9 hours a day in front of desktop and thought that I need a laptop. We do have a desktop at home (in my bedroom to be exact) but I ain't gonna spend my time, stuck in front of desktop in the room all the time. Since MacBook is goddam expensive and I need to save money, I might consider paying monthly. But I'm kind of confused which MacBook should I get. Any suggestion?

3. Driving License
It identifies you as a licensed driver. Who wants to get arrested for driving without a valid license? If I get pulled over by a police officer or state trooper, the first thing that he or she will ask for is driver's license. But what can I do, I don't have time to go to Texas Driver License.

4. Travel / Vacation
I haven't traveled since 2013 till now. I really love to travel, and it's my dream to travel around the world. Well, who doesn't right? For my first vacation without parents, I think travel to South Korea is a good start for me. Sooo, I'm really counting on traveling next year in April or May with my sister. Or alone if she can't make it. I would love to go on a vacation with friends but I everyone is busy. Is there anyone want to be my travel partner?

5. Color my hair
I cannot stand having the same hairstyle or hair color, but I won't make a sudden change. I've been thinking to dye my hair again, but I keep on reminding myself that I just colored my hair in Malaysia and paid RM600 for it. I kinda miss my old light brown hair and might go for it this end of the year.

6. Blogging
- Making sure blog is always up-to-date
- Meet a blogging friend in real life

There's a lot more I want to list, but it will never be ending wishlist. There you go my short term wishlist. What is on your bucket list?

Malaysia Trip | October Wrap Up

Whew, it's already November huh. Halloween is over; next will be Thanksgiving and CHRISTMAS and then New Year's Eve. Almost at the end of the year 2016. How time flies so fast. A lot of things happen during this month and some of you might already know that I just back from Malaysia two weeks ago. I didn't have a chance to update my blog while I'm in Malaysia because I was so busy. So, today I'm going to post about my short vacation wrap up or 'October Wrap Up'. I know it's sort of late but better late than never, right?

FLIGHTS

Ohh, I'm sick with the plane right now. Not only because of the long flights but had to fly numerous times on the flight. From Houston to Kuala Lumpur itself took 20 hours and 40 minutes with layover 3 and half an hour in Taipei. The next day after arrival in Kuala Lumpur, I need to fly to Sandakan for almost 3 hours for my convocation. Two nights after that, flight to Kota Kinabalu and drive straight back to my hometown. After a week in the Kampong, flight back to Kuala Lumpur and spend five days before the long flight back to Houston. Approximately, I have been on the plane for seven times withing two weeks. No more flying after this because being inside the plane for a long time is not fun at all. Well, at least not for this year.

A WEEK IN SABAH

1. CONVOCATION IN SANDAKAN

The convocation was held at Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan on 8th of November, and we had to be there the day before. On Friday, we came a bit late for my convocation's registration at the hotel because the registration was started at 9 am. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we checked in and then go to the registration desk and try my robe. And come back at 2 pm for convocation's rehearsal. That's when the jetlag hit me. I'm so tired and sleepy, like super tired and extremely sleepy. I've been caught fall asleep for a few times by my friends and other students. The day of my convocation, I felt bored for the entire time of the ceremony which is I don't know why. I'm not excited at all, and I was a bit grumpy. Whoever handled that event, it was so un-organize. I feel like, if I can turn back time, I wouldn't come ( or I'm expecting too much maybe?).

2. HOMETOWN (KOTA MARUDU)

I was so excited that after almost a year been away, I finally get back to my hometown and spend time with my family (especially my grandparent that I miss the most) and some of my friend. When I was in my hometown, I never stayed at home during the day and only back home when it's almost midnight, to sleep. Since my grandma was so clingy, that she always sticks with me even thou I wanted to hang out with my friends, we made a deal. During the day I'll spend time with her and other families (means I'll be her driver) and at night with my only friends. It was tiring, to be honest. I woke up early in the morning at 5 am, went out for the whole day and home when it's evening. Then, going out again to meet up with friends and home before midnight. And mind that I'm still jetlagged at the time and tried so hard to hold my sleepiness. Despite tiredness, I enjoyed every second I'm with them.

A WEEK IN KUALA LUMPUR

As soon as we arrived in KL, we dropped our luggage at home then mom took us out for late lunch. Because it's already late for lunch and we didn't have breakfast on the plane, I ate two sets of ayam penyet (talking about ayam penyet, I'm craving for it now). We thought that we'd get some rest or a lazy day. Guess I'm wrong. It was as busy as I am in Sabah, but at least I get to wake up late in KL. Almost every day I went out with my friends, and I'm happy that they're willing to spend their time with me while they were busy with their assignments.

FOODS

I didn't get to eat all the food on my list because I'm so busy spending my time with my family and friends. But I did get to eat some fruits (especially MANGGA) and some of my favorite food as shown above ( I forgot to snap all the food because you know when the foods in front of you and the only thing you want to do is EAT). And hell yeah, we brought lots of food all the way from Malaysia to Houston especially the ikan masin, ikan bilis, kicap cap kipas udang etc. I think for those who lived aboard can relate to this.

JETLAG

Compared from Houston to Malaysia and from Malaysia to Houston, I think jet lag is tougher when I'm back from Malaysia. Anyone who has crossed multiple time zones knows the misery of the jet lag. You're tired when you need to be alert, you can't sleep when supposed to. I almost fall asleep when I'm driving home (I did for a few seconds and realized that I'm driving at the center of the lane). As soon I'm home, I straightly went to my bed to sleep and woke up at midnight, and looking for food. I didn't sleep till morning and went to work after that. Suprisingly, I feel so energetic even thou I didn't sleep at night and get sleepy when it's 3 pm. Anyway, I'm getting better now and the good thing is I go to sleep early every night :)
